Les MTV VMAs 2021 se déroulaient hier soir, afin de récompenser comme tous les ans, un large panel d’artistes et de créateurs du domaine vidéo-musical américain. La cérémonie d’hier nous a d’ailleurs réservé quelques surprises. Retour sur la liste des récompensés.
C’est à Brooklyn que les MTV VMAs de 2021 se sont déroulés ce 12 septembre, avec de nombreuses performances et surprises.
Les MTV Video Music Awards, ont été créées en 1984 par la chaine de télévision du même nom. Elles ont pour but de récompenser les meilleurs clips-vidéos. Cette cérémonie vient compléter un peu plus le panel des nombreuses récompenses que propose l’entertainement américain, notamment avec les BET Awards, ou encore les Grammy’s.
L’édition de 2021 s’est déroulée hier soir au Barclay Center de Brooklyn, et a été présentée par la rappeuse Doja Cat qui a été d’ailleurs nominée, une première dans l’histoire de cette cérémonie.
Le déroulement de la cérémonie
Comme toujours, ces cérémonies regorgent de surprises. Apparition surprise de Madonna, accompagnée d’un clip qui avait marqué la première édition des VMAs, Doja Cat vêtue de tenues farfelues, ou encore Travis Scott qui annonce l’arrivée d’Utopia pour dans peu de temps (encore une fois…). On notera aussi l’altercation entre MGK et Connor McGregor
Au programme, une trentaine de performances lives toutes aussi agréables à regarder les unes que les autres. Polo G avec « Rapstar« , The Kid Laroi et Justin Bieber avec « Stay« , Lil Nas X avec « Montero« , Ozuna avec « La Funka« , Twenty One Pilots avec « Saturday« , ou encore Alicia Keys avec « Empire State of Mind« . De quoi combler tous les styles de musiques.

Concernant les récompenses, Lil Nas X, le groupe BTS et Olivia Rodrigo ont été les plus récompensés, avec 3 prix chacun. Billie Eilish et Justin Bierber (ayant tout de même 7 nominations) ont eu obtenu 2 récompenses.
